Postrimerias del Pegamento / The Aftermath

Installation/Performance
variable dimensions
2009

The scene and script of this performance were inspired by a Robert Bladen sculpture, a text about entropy of Robert Smithson and the Tarkovsy’s film Solaris. Mixing diverse theories about models of construction and architecture, as well as questions about problems in the structure of matter in Arts, and going through concepts of minimalism, the installation was intact only for 2 hours.

The same day of the opening a performance was played where the main character, a mad scientist, appeared as an action generator, activating and defusing the rest of objects and characters. The conclusion of each movement was a whole set of constructions that summing up turned to destroy the architectural structure of the stage, throwing the walls to the audience to let the stage open and invite visitors to walk through.
